Andrew is a recently retired Chartered Accountant and Official Liquidator of the Supreme Court of Victoria. He was one of two founding partners 21 years ago of the specialised national insolvency firm of PPB Advisory. He oversaw the growth of that firm with Ian Carson from the two partner practice of Carson & McLellan, to a firm of over 350 people with offices throughout Australia.
Andrew specialised in the Voluntary Administration process. He spent a career working with Lending Institutions, Accountants, Lawyers and Company Directors, often in stressful situations. He joined EDX in December 2012 and now specialises in enabling companies to become PPSR compliant. He is skilled at negotiating with Insolvency Practitioners having been one himself for so long. The poacher is now gamekeeper at protecting your clients.
In May 2012, Andrew was appointed by the State Government as a Director of the Melbourne Wholesale Fruit Vegetable and Flower Market located in Footscray. The market is a Melbourne institution and plays a critical role in ensuring that a competitive and fair system exists for distributing produce throughout Victoria. Andrew’s role finished in December 2015 after the market was successfully transferred to new state of the art premises located in Epping at a cost of $500 million.
He enjoys keeping fit and playing Superules AFL footy. Andrew is Secretary of the competition which has 33 clubs offering footy for a number of age groups over the age of 35.
